Tell us a little about yourself and the bar(s) you work at…
My name is Anthony Parks, I’m a full time dad and soon to be husband. As for work- I’m in the process of leaving my role as Bar Manager at Mourad restaurant, a Michelin Star Moroccan restaurant in FiDi, SF. I’m now heading over to take on the position as General Manager at Whitechapel – a high volume craft cocktail bar that’s boasting the largest gin selection in the US.
Where do you draw your cocktail inspiration from?
Literally everywhere. An idea could spark from a certain smell while walking through the market, or from unique flavor combinations I taste during dessert course at dinner. It’s usually like a lightning bolt that strikes hard when something comes to mind. I’ll most likely be no where near a bar when it happens -which is why my iPhone notes are so cluttered with cocktail ideas or flavor pairings.
