2 oz Botanist Gin
.5 oz Cinnamon infused Cointreau*
.75 oz Cointreau Guignolet
.5 oz Lime juice
Cherries on the Isle

* Infuse 1 bottle Cointreau with whole cinnamon sticks for about two days
Combine all ingredients in a tin, shake with ice, strain into cocktail coupe. Garnish with a brandied cherry.
So this is basically inspired by a cosmopolitan. i wanted something with the tart cherry flavor and a deeper warmer flavor than a regular cosmo. Also, i wanted to use gin to create a cocktail that normal cosmo drinkers could be introduced to botanicals in an approachable somewhat familiar way! the cinnamon infused cointreau gives a depth of warmth that works well with the bright citrus notes of the cocktail. i just like pink-y drinks. why not?
